SPRING EXHIBITION 4th-18th April at Art2Frame Gallery

Tell your friends and come along to the private view on Friday 3rd April 7-9pm

 

PLYMOUTH ARTS CLUB are holding an exhibition at the end of the summer in Clearbrook and may be able to share the venue with us, more news to follow.

If you can’t make the venues but want some helpful hints and tips, why not borrow a video/DVD from our collection – attached is a list of titles available.

 

Also on the list is our day out in St Ives on Sunday May 17th

Some of you have already expressed an interest following the last newsletter.
Jane has your names, but please send your cheques to Jane to book your place as spaces are limited.

Come along and enjoy some fresh air, meet other members and enjoy the challenge of painting

Plymouth Watercolour Society Summer Programme
NEW FOR 2009 ! PAINTING CLINIC. On the first Tuesday of each month there will be a painting clinic at the Tothill centre from 7-9pm.

May 12th 6-8 p.m Coypool Park in B&Q car park for Plym Valley Railway.

June 9th Blagdons Boatyard Through gates at end of Richmond Walk. Will Blagdon asks us to remember that this is an industrial site and to take care when moving about.

The idea is to help less experienced members gain more confidence and be able to ask for advice/guidance in a relaxed atmosphere with no set agenda. Please feel free to bring along your own work for a critique-or come along just because you want to paint !

10th May The Garden House Buckland Monachorum
Take A386 towards Yelverton. Garden is signposted left after golf course before Yelverton. Follow road through Crapstone. Garden on right before Buckland Monachorum.
This is a beautiful walled garden with 16th century ruins and much more. Good café on site. Indoor acc may be available if weather deteriorates. Cost £5. Please Ring/email Pat Bishop on 01752 563850 bishmail@bigfoot.com as we need to know number attending.

17th May St. Ives Day out! Places on coach limited. To book:
send a cheque to Jane Trevan. Cost £7.

7th June Mount Edgecumbe The Cremyll ferry has frequent departures
e.g. leaves an 10 a.m. and returns at 4 p.m.
Meet near the Orangery,£1.50 each way


5th July Morwellham Quay Well, signposted off B3257. Go via A390 from Tavistock or minor roads via Crapstone, and Buckland Monachorum.
Meet near main Car Park. Pub and cafes on site.
£2 car park + any other attraction


2nd August Minions Take B3254 out of Liskeard. Turn Left at Upton Cross. Meet near the Cheesering Car Park. There is a good pub and tea shops in the village.


6th September Bantham Meet near Car Park. There is a good pub (the sloop) nearby. Views up river Avon or along coast to Bigbury and Burgh Island Car Park


4th October Dartmeet Meet in Car park at Badgers Holt

 

Video/DVD Library

Our video/dvd library offers members a ‘Mail Order’ service. Write to or telephone: Val Morsman, Phone 01752 880683.

 

Videos/DVDs are posted to you in a
‘Jiffy’ bag, together with a prepaid and addressed label for its return. (Please open the ‘Jiffy’ bag carefully, we try to reuse them at least once). When returning the video please include a cheque for £2 to help towards covering the mailing costs. We will also require you to have proof of postage to help with any non-delivery claims. We ask you not to keep the videos/dvds for more than two weeks.
