NEWSLETTER - SPRING 2010

Chair: Paul Kemp 01752 512655
Hon. Secretary: Naomi Ainsley 01548 830794
Membership Secretary: David Ray 01752 862815

Details of the Spring Exhibition should have reached you by now. Successful exhibitions are an essential part of the life of an art society.

Last autumn only 30 members out of 130 submitted paintings.

Why is this?

If you have not submitted is there any way that your committee can help you to enjoy becoming involved?

Are you unable to deliver your pictures at the time and place requested?

Need help to transport your paintings? Not sure how to manage the framing of your art work?

Do you think that your paintings aren't good enough for an exhibition but would welcome a committee member's opinion?

Please let us know.

Offers of help with stewarding would also be much appreciated. It could always be arranged that you are with an experienced steward.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Please contact our exhibition secretary Geoff Gunning on 01752 895102.

You will also find a small survey at the end of this newsletter which we would like you to complete so that the PWS can continue to provide a well supported programme of workshops and events. (Note: not shown on website)

Don't forget the Plymouth Watercolour Society website, Rob Turner is happy to add some more members paintings to it, you can send them to him at vivandrob@msn.com

Details of the summer programme, Tuesday evenings and some Saturdays and Sundays, which include a coach trip to Port Isaac, are also attached. We are keeping our fingers crossed for some sunny evenings. SEE YOU THERE. (Note: shown on workshops page of this website)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE If you have an email address let Naomi know on ncainsley@googlemail.com , so she can add you to the email list and save paper, stamps, Naomi's printer and the planet!

The Port Isaac coach trip takes place on Sunday 12th September. A place can be reserved for £10 - book with Marilyn Callus...
